The Undergraduate Research Symposium Planning Committee invites you to serve as a volunteer for the 11th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium.  Once again, we will host the symposium in a virtual format with Week of Research activities starting on Monday, May 24 and culminating with the Undergraduate Research Symposium on Thursday, May 27, 2021.

To honor the original research and creative work of our students, the Symposium strives to frame the environment of an academic conference, and the role of the volunteer plays an integral part in this endeavor. The 2021 Symposium will host several hundred presenters, distributed across from a wide variety of academic disciplines.

There are numerous opportunities to be involved such as:

  • Our goal is to coordinate for two volunteers per Zoom presentation session. This year, all presentations will be in Zoom webinar format, with all sessions recorded and posted to the Symposium YouTube channel.
    • Moderator 1- introducing each panelist, facilitating the presentation flow, and Q & A discussion.
    • Moderator 2- permitting attendees in from waiting room, provide sharing permissions to panelists, maintain smooth flow of session

Join the great energy of the symposium as we all celebrate the achievements of undergraduate scholars. Please complete the brief sign-up form  no later than Friday, May 7 at 12:000pm (Noon, PDT).
